Wine & Stretching and joyful inspiration for female students

What better way to celebrate International Women’s week than with wine & stretching mixed with a dose of career stimulation ...

In the heart of Helsinki, Nordea rejoiced the International Women occasion by inviting female students to a special event which kicked off with a soothing visit at the year-round outdoor swimming place, Allas Sea Pool, followed by a dinner in company with experienced Nordea colleagues.

“After the relaxing Wine & Stretching class treat, we continued to a nice restaurant where more treats awaited us. We enjoyed lovely food and drinks starting off with sharing career stories,” tells Veera Muoniovaara from Nordea Markets about the event.

During dinner there  were  lively discussions about job opportunities at Nordea in inspirational company with Nordea colleagues sharing their stories and experiences from working at Nordea; Alexandra Therman-Londen (Managing Director in Nordea C&IB Advisory), Kati Uusitalo (Graduate in FX/MM Sales Finland, Nordea Markets) and Elina Nummela (Analyst in Debt Solutions & Loans, Nordea Debt & Risk Solutions), Riikka Davidkin (Director from Debt Solutions & Loans) and Emilia Malmi (Analyst from C&IB Advisory).

Featured on the photo, Alexandra Therman-London, also walked through the IPO process from the perspective of Advisory, while representatives from other units complemented the case from a Markets and Debt Capital Markets point of view.

“It was a great evening – and I got the impression that the students really enjoyed it too. During dinner they mentioned that they appreciated the open and truthful discussions about career options, the pros and cons of Markets and C&IB, in a relaxed atmosphere. The mix of social and professional was a great way to network and get insight to what we’re actually doing at Nordea Markets, in Wholesale Banking units, and the overall structure of Nordea,” Veera says about this female event in Helsinki, which is just one of the many student events at Nordea Markets.
