Best of Nordea On Your Mind: Top 50 graphs

Take a look back at the top 50 graphs published since the 2016 launch of NOYM, and witness the fast pace of change in society and the economy today.

Since Nordea On Your Mind launched in November 2016, we have covered an exciting array of topics, aiming to be responsive to what our customers consider most interesting and urgent. For this final issue of the season, we’ve decided to take a look back at the themes covered since the start, showcasing the top 50 graphs. We have grouped them into four different categories:

  • Disruption: Different aspects of today’s rapid technological and social change, from e-commerce to artificial intelligence
  • Sustainability: Environmental, social and governance (ESG) has broken through into the mainstream. We explore the commercial aspects and drivers.
  • Capex: Consensus forecasts for global capex have risen sharply in the past six months, but companies are still not investing as much as history suggests they should.
  • Inflation: Changes in long-term structural drivers could cause wage inflation to rise in the years ahead, triggering a need for higher interest rates.

Take a look; the images tell quite a story about how eventful the past 18 months have been, and about the fast pace of change in society and the economy today.

We would like to thank all our readers who have given suggestions for topics to cover in NOYM – please keep them coming!
