As part of The Nordea Graduate Programme we are looking for highly driven graduates to join our trading floors in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
This is your chance to kick start your career in the financial markets industry. As a Graduate at Nordea Markets you will gain insights into the capital markets from working closely together with experienced analysts, sales managers and traders within foreign exchange, fixed income via credits to investment products. The learning curve is steep, and there is always something new and exciting ahead of you.
We are looking for talent with the ability and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks, often with tight deadlines. As a graduate you will assist all units and your daily work will among other things include:
- Doing quantitative and qualitative analysis work related to our focus areas of business
- Taking part in the development as well as support of various Excel models
- Producing written reports, presentations and informative materials
- Being responsible for the structuring, analysing and reporting of various business activities in Nordea Markets
We see that you over time will continue your development within one of our business areas as a Sales Manager, Analyst or Researcher.
The Nordea Graduate Programme
Our graduate programme is a great way to kick-start your career and put what you learned at university into practice. The programmes will develop your personal and professionals skills and help you find out what makes you tick within the business.
The programme consists of two major parts with two main elements each. A general part with attendance in international seminars and a mentoring process, followed by a business track and on-the-job-training where you put knowledge into practice within a specific area of Nordea Markets. The on-the-job-training is mixed with relevant activities for you to get to know your profession and the value chain which you are a part of.

You’re smart – and know how to get smarter
We’re looking for people with an academic degree in economics, finance, engineering or equivalent, and a strong interest in the financial markets. But good grades don’t cut it alone. More than anything else we look for the right attitude. You enjoy having great personal responsibility as well as being part of a team. You should be customer oriented, be ambitious and be able to interact and connect with people on different levels with different backgrounds.
Things tend to get busy at our office, so to succeed you must thrive on working in a high-pressure environment and not be afraid to put your heart and soul into your work and get things done. You must have a can-do attitude and work hard to ensure timely deliveries. You should be able to swiftly gather information, structure it and present your conclusions for what reason MS Office skills are important, especially MS Excel. You must be fluent in written and verbal English and Swedish.
